Religious Education

Saint Rocco Parish Religious Education is a sequential program of religious instruction to match grade levels of the parish children who attend schools other than Catholic (public, private). It includes preparation for the sacraments at appropriate age. First Holy Communion preparation is a two year program. Confirmation is a four-year program which includes Bible, Christ, His Mission and Message, The Catholic Church, and the Apostles Creed. We assist in providing religious instruction for children who are developmentally delayed.

RCIA (RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS)
RCIA is the restored process through which adults are fully initiated into the Catholic faith community. It is a program for persons older than 18 who seek to be received into the Catholic Church or for Catholics who want to receive Baptism, First Holy Communion, First Penance, or Confirmation. There is no age limit. Ability to read is not necessary, nor is full command of the English language.

RCIC (RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF CHILDREN)
This is a program of preparation for the Sacraments, including Baptism for children older than the usual age, but not yet 18 years old. This includes children who were baptized in another denomination. Arrangements are according to the child’s needs.
